ART MY WORDS 2017

15 young artists from the capital will have the oportunity to collaborate with 5 reputed authors in creating a series of inovative video art works

DU-NE has launched a new opportunity for the community of young visual artists in Bucharest. Starting August 1st you can submit your application for ART MY WORDS, an inter-disciplinary collaborative artistic project in which young creatives will explore the visual valencies of the written word, re-mapping the literary universe of 5 international authors into a new imagistic dimension.

Thus, in August and September the selected artists will work together with important names in contemporary literature (Jonathan Franzen – SUA, Zeruya Shalev – IL, Matei Vișniec – RO, Malgorzata Rejmer – PL, Robert Prosser – AT) to create- through an interactive process – a series of works of video art that wil illustrate excerpts from the works of the authors involved in this project.

Mixed techniques and exploring new means of artistic expression are encouraged, as the project’s approach is intended to be experiment-friendly and open to re-shaping the classic take on video imagery into various styles.
