My art passes a long period of formal investigations where the gesture and expression of the topics and forms reconstruct narrative stories from the visual forms.
Trying to create my own language that derives from biology and nature, I explore the interaction of spirit and matter, as well as of the natural and the artificial world.
My black and white paintings are ‘worlds’ that come from the subconscious. They start a relation with the beings, the objects, the environment, the nature, without forcing them, but joining them all together.
The gestures are under control so that my own interior can be expressed. Lines and curves that go to diverse directions, the smoothness that goes with the force, abstract and figurative elements dominated by a rigorous stylization allow me to explore very special and singular meanings. I express them in a way that makes the appearances visible providing that the spectator admits and appropriates them as psychological identification.
Everything in my art is ‘living’, can be connected. Everything is like an organism, or a part of a bigger organism.
